Dear Sam:
The quality of education comes from
the nature of the culture itself.
In the long run, how we
can refine our culture would then
depend on how we deliverately divert
our cultural accumulation with the
inputs and stimuli from education.
To me, education means "learning"
not "teaching." Therefore everyone
who desire to get themselves just
that much better can do so
by self education, as you might
recall "Phra Vejsandorn" had
to educate himself away from anger
when Choochok took his children
away beating them up all the
way.
A system of education at the
national scale would then means
a systems of guiding, facilitating,
and helping the process of learning,
rather than a systems of teaching,
demanding, and other dogmatic tactics
as we had experienced. I
agree that higher education in our
country can be differentiated from
elementary education only where the
expenses are higher and the students
are older. There are not
much more in helping those young
persons grow up into a quality
citizen in either the higher education
or primary education in Thailand.
This must be changed--for the
sake of our children and our
children's children. We must try
with every minute of life that
we have.
Yex, I am trying everyday too
by trying to learn more, exchange
more ideas, and share the new
things that I have learned in
whatever way I can. Sadly,
I have to stay in China not
Thailand because for my professional
career opportunities.

That lines came from the book
"See You At the Top" where
Zig mentioned how we could accumulate
the proactiveness and optimisum within
ourselves like depositing them into
the bank account. On the
contrary, we can also deposit those
pessimism, passiveness, and other negative
elements into our own brain.
What ever we deposited, they
will grow inside our brain and
ready to reappear as you said
"reacting" instingly.
I also like to add that in
addition to Thai silk and Thai
smile, Khun Thaksin should always
carry with him the absolutely "Thai"
politeness. (I am older than
Thaksin, so I hope he doesn't
mind a word or two like this
from me.)
